Ok, so I recently had someone apply for a Credit card in my name, using my SS#. I managed to stop the application and have subsequently done everything you need to do to report Identity Theft
I have two questions and was hoping for some advice:
1. Am I required to notify the BON?
2. SHOULD I notify the BON?
Your thoughts would be welcome........ thank you!

I would most definetely call the BON!! Yikes, so sorry this has happend to you!! The person could, for all intent and purposes, get a duplicate RN license and start working as a nurse under your name!!
Not meant as legal advice, per TOS, however, be sure you file a police report, let the fraud division of your bank know, and have your name flagged at the major credit agencies.
Nightmarish. But be pro-active to nip this in the bud asap!

What a pain. I HATE this kind of crap. The worst part is the people are next to never caught or punished. Good luck sorting through this mess. I would give them a heads up.
