I think I failed...

Published

Took NCLEX yesterday morning. I did the PVT the minute I got into my car. I put my CC, clicked submit and it gave me a pop up (not the good one) saying I have a current registration and unable to start a new one. A few hours later, I tried again and it processed my payment. So I'm pretty sure, I failed. Today, I must have checked the Breeze website about a gazillion times. It said application was still pending. Approximately 36 hours after my exam, my application disappeared. Is this a good indicator that I failed?

i don't know, but try to stay positive, as nerve wrecking as that is. what is the breeze web site? have you tried going to your state bon web site and searching for your license? that's how i found out i'd passed.

Breeze website is the site that California uses for license look-up and verification. Nothing there as of now... Hasn't been 48 hours, but I'm feeling very discouraged.

oh ok. i know how terrible the wait is. how did you feel during the exam? did you think you were doing poorly? hopefully it turns out well for you.

THANK YOU! I went all the way through, all 265 of them. I felt ok, not great, majority were SATA. I've been reading forums a lot and came across a few posts in which the payment went through and they still passed. Read one other where the application disappeared and they passed. I guess I'll just have to wait until I get a letter. Most of my classmates received results within 48 hours on the Breeze website.

well then you only have a few more dreadful hours to wait lol. i've always hated sata, and i felt like the nclex had soooo many of them. i got nervous about that and thought i'd failed afterwards too.

Not seeing my application there really scared me. Cheers to another sleepless night! The agony of wanting to become a "registered" nurse. Lol

Unfortunately once the BRN website deleted your app, it means you need to take the nclex again. Same thing happened to my classmate :/

I don't know anything about the Breeze website, but the PVT isn't accurate until at least 24 hours after you finish the exam.

The "good pop up" is the one you get after submiting your credit card information and it doesn't take it, the message is along the lines of "another registration cannot be made at this time" or a similar variation.

From what you wrote, sounds like you got the good pop up initially, but then proceeded to do the PVT again (why??) and then it took your payment (as you asked it to).

Unfortunately, since you did both of these maneuvers LONG before you were supposed to (24 hours after completion of exam), all you know for certain is you are out $200. The likelihood is that you failed, as *most* of the time accepting payment indicates a fail. HOWEVER, since we can't be sure two scores were done, although it LOOKS like they were, all you know is that you might have failed. Or not, if you were one of the unlucky folks who Pearson Vue does a test charge on regardless of pass/fail status. They are perfectly within their rights to charge you, as you had to agree (twice) that any charge made for another registration is non-refundable. Big mistake.

I don't know what BreEZe does as far as posting info for a faiiled exam; someone from California will be more familiar with that.

All you can do at this point is to sit tight and wait for official results.....not fun, but it is what it is.......and be sure to tell anyone who tests to NOT HIT the PVT until at least 24 hours has gone by since they walked out of the testing center!

Yeah, I checked this morning, 48 hours after, doesn't look like I've passed.

I suggest you taking a deep breath because it's going to be okay! The Nclex is a very tough exam... Just re-think your study habits, and plan another study schedule and find out what went wrong. You can totally pass it. Keep the faith!! :)
