I quit!

Yep, I really did it! Gave my 30 days notice today. I have worked at the same company nearly 22 years (all of my adult life from age of 19 w/ one year out in the middle of that time).

Sick, sick, sick of all the B.S. Sick, sick, sick of state surveyors. Sick, sick, sick of coorporate yahoos that come from out of state telling us how to do things with no background knowledge of our state laws. Sick, sick, sick of all the extra duties added weekly and then coming in nearly every day and finding that I'm stuck playing CNA half the day because they refuse to pay enough to keep them from going across town to a better paying job.

Yep, I quit and I don't even have any new job lined up. Still trying to convince myself that this will be OK.

Thanks for letting me vent.

it is going to be ok. its hard when management does not seem to hear you and is not offering the help that you need to continue to do your job. you can only take so much before you reach your boiling point. you will find a new job (everyone needs nurses dear:wink2:). wish you all the best.

Congratulations, Nascar nurse. I can only imagine the huge weight that has been lifted off your shoulders when you resigned from this place of employment.

Nascar Nurse,

You must feel better already. Obviously, you were loyal to that facility to stay for 22 years, so don't feel bad about quitting. Its their loss. Maybe the will wake up and hire more personnel if more employees stand up for themselves like you did. Have fun picking out a new job and good luck.

Phew I bet that felt better.

I bet it will take three to replace you. :D

Good luck job hunting,

Nicky.

Congrats!! Good luck to you!

Kudos to you for taking care of yourself first!!!! Best wishes for your new life endeavors.

i'm surprised....but not shocked. you're doing what many of us wish we could do. you have to take care of yourself first and foremost.

it will be ok.....and perhaps it's time for a change!!

hugs,

deb:cheers:

Good for you!

Sometimes I think that the game they play is to see how much you can stand......
