I took the NET this evening. I got 89 composite score and 96 percentile rank!!
The proctor said that I am in the independant reading level. The study guide really helped me with the math too, I got 83 percent overall on that. I am so excited, I was so nervous I thought I was going to throw up. All I have to do now is wait to see if I get accepted. Let the waiting begin

That's great!! I take the NET next week, the math is what worries me. Did they give you any idea how long it will be before you find out if you are accepted?
I am applying to the LPN program because I still need A&P 2, Micro, Eng 112 and 3 maths. Sentara requires Chem too if I am not mistaken. Hopefully I can take A&P 2, Eng and Micro this summer. (that's gonna suck lol) then I can take the math at TCC along with Sentaras LPN program. Then bridge to the RN program as soon as I pass the NCLEX.
Did you also apply to TCC's program? I am applying there this fall for the class the following year. I guess that I will go where ever I am accepted first I just want to hurry up and get my RN.
Congrats again. Those are great scores! I will keep my fingers crossed for you!

The lady in admissions said that I should hear something within the next couple of weeks (I'm nervous:uhoh21: ). I didn't apply to Tcc's program, I hear it's good, but I like Sentara's better. I plan to do a brige as soon as pass the NCLEX ( I hear VCU has a part time one at TCC Porthsmouth campus). As far as the Test goes it was exactly like the NET study guide. There were 60 math questions and I believe 30 or so reading. It sounds like you have a great plan layed out to getting your RN. I will be sending you good vibes on your test day, I'm sure you'll do great. Good luck!

Princess 74, sentara only requires you to high school chemistry.
Nursecadet, you make my scores look like crap! My composite was 73% and my math was 68%(yeah I know that I'm horrible in math). You kinda got me wishing that I would have studied and got a math book or something. I just realize that I am up against some stiff competition! I didn't get to finish the math and by time that I got to reading and those other silly questions, let's just say I was ready to go!!! You help me know that I should be more serious about my career and stop thinking that everything is not going to come easily to me. I never been the type to study real hard or get stressed out about things.

The only reason I didn't fail that darn thing the first time is because I ate, slept, and breathed, that study guide all through spring break. Trust me, you should've seen my first practice test:eek:
I know what you mean about studying though, sometimes I feel guilty because I know I can do better, but I'm just lazy. I'm actually looking into doing some techniques for procrastination, and orgainzation. I know I'll need to improve on those before nursing school:lol2:
