Congratulations FL MOM!!!

The RN market in South East Fl is very tight right now, especially for new grads so don't give up, be creative. You may have to think outside the box. Flood the place with resumes and pound the pavement.

I really hope something good happens for you soon:D

congrat on you new Florida license. I to was granted a Florida License with a Felony on my record... I am having no luck at all finding a job.

Yes, unfortunately the Florida market is extremely tight right now and has been for some time...it may not be just because of your felony. I know many RN's-- new grads and nurses with many years of experience who are having very hard times finding jobs.

I know there are threads around this web site that say "oh, I see many listings for RN's all over Florida"..but if you read further, the reality is that hospitals post listings they have no intention of filling. You see the same listing posted over and over again..any way..that's one of my soap boxes...the fact that there is NO NURSING SHORTAGE ANYMORE...and it makes me so angry to hear that it keeps being perpetuated.

So, having the felony will make the difficult, practically impossible.

You may need to relocate to a region where there truely is a shortage...perhaps the Dakotas...I understand there is a need there.

I'd like to say congratulations! Without seeming like a creep! I've followed your story for quite some time always finding your achievements to be a boost in Moral. FLmomof5 congrats on having everything "Official!" :D

Thanks Charles! BTW, as a follow up....shortly after getting my RN license, I was hired by a SNF/LTAC. I hated it and left after 2 months. Applied for jobs in SC since, by then, I had my SC endorsement....and got 3 interviews with 2 offers. I have been working on a Med/Surg floor for the past 4 months! :D
