contact the board of vocational/practical nursing in your state and apply for licensure by examination.

But a bigger question is what type of visa are you on? If you do not already have a green card, then you are going to be unable to work as an LVN in the US.

The LVN license does not get you a visa to work in the US. Only the CGFNS exam or passing the NCLEX-RN exam do. And again, if you do not have a visa in hand already that will permit you to work, you are not going to be able to remain in the US.

You are not going to be able to get the funds to sit for the RN exam if you do not already have them. It is also cheaper for you to prepare again for the RN exam, then to go thru the registration with another board for the LVN license and then to sit for that exam. Cost is the same for the exam.

Suggest that you do some reading on this forum about the retrogressin if you do not have a green card already or US citizenship.
