Feb 8, 201016 yr Starting wages I was told around 60k a year new grads... however hourly its like 20. Which is about 36k a year. Am I missing something? Starting as a bsn by the way.
Feb 9, 201016 yr Here in Portland metro area a new grad does make close to $32 an hour plus shift diff in the hospital. My first year I made $76k with a bit of OT.
Feb 9, 201016 yr If you are looking at Idaho, the wages are going to be a lot lower because the cost of living in most places is going to be a lot lower. The only places in Idaho I can think of where you'd have a chance to make more money are Sun Valley, Coeur'd'Alene, maybe Sandpoint, possibly Boise. Anywhere else it's going to be a lower wage. But the cost of living in these areas is much higher than the average.
