Can I add a question? Can you receive this scholarship with a "provisional acceptance"? Like when you need to complete a prereq first? I called and asked and the lady didn't seem to confident in her response.
You would need a letter stating you have been accepted into a nursing program. As long as it states you were offered a seat in a nursing program that is good enough to apply regardless of outstanding courses needed. If you are selected for the scholarship, you would then need to submit prove of enrollment in the nursing program which normally is requested around June/July. Hope this helps.
Does anyone know when the 2014 application will be posted (and when it's due)? People who have been accepted to this scholarship do you have any tips? What does the application entail? THANKS![/quote']The application should be opening up in the next few weeks or so and I believe it is due around April. They choose the scholarship recipients based on their resume, letters of recommendations, volunteer work, college GPA, EFC, and three essays. I would focus on writing outstanding essays, submitting good letters of recommendations and having a low EFC should give you a great shot at getting it. If you go on YouTube and search hrsa scholarship, there are webinars available for your viewing so you could know what to expect with the application process. It is pretty lengthy. Good luck.
