How did the NCLEX go?

Hello all!

I'm Jenna and I'm taking the NCLEX in 18 days! I've been using Hurst Review to study. I was just wondering for those who've taken the exam, was it really difficult? I was reading through the questions in the Saunders NCLEX book and I felt those were much easier than Hurst. I hear Kaplan they give you a score where of you get 60% or up on their exams you'll pass the NCLEX. Hurst doesn't do that so I'm nervous.

Can you guys tell me how your exams went? Were they easier than you thought or more difficult? And why?

Thank you!

Sincerely,

Jenna

It was hard for me. So my suggestion is to read question and each answer choice carefully. I'm sure you will do just fine...

Good luck.

I thought it was hard, however that may have been more nerves and lack of confidence than truly difficult. Not really sure anymore But I passed

Although the Hurst Q-reviews don't have a specific "make this score and you'll pass the NCLEX" score, they do state that people who go on pass the first time make a mean of about 84 on the Q-reviews.

Then, they also state that your goal should be to get more right then wrong (so 51%?). Their whole guarantee is all about giving you enough content and testing strategies so that on the NCLEX you get more right then wrong.

They claim to have a really good pass rate among people who took the live review and completed all the requirements. I guess we'll see.

Hurst does do that. I do t remember what the number is but they give a recommendation. The test isn't anything like you think it's going to be. I know that doesn't help but it's the truth.

I would also recommend you edit your post and remove your name. You make it WAY to easy to identify yourself using your first name in your post and what I'm assuming is your last name in your user ID. Instructors and future employers are on here and you want to be as anonymous as possible.

I thought it was hard but passed with 75 questions. Just read the questions closely, stick with your gut, and you'll do fine! Best of luck to you!

I passed with 75 questions. I didn't find it to be hard TBH; There were some SATA that I felt iffy on. It wasn't easy either (kind of middle of the road) but I felt the questions were comparable to what I had seen on tests in NS, ATI, and Saunders. I did very little studying after graduation.

Thanks!!! How do I change it on here?
