How many Programs did you apply to??

Hi everyone,

I am working towards getting into a AA program here in the Bay Area. I just wanted to know how many different programs did you apply to???

How many times did you have to apply?

What was your GPA?

Thanks :idea::uhoh3::heartbeat

I'm so excited, just accepted CSUSM's offer for admission! To respond to the last post, I'm not sure what the conditions are, but they are sending us a welcome pack that will have more info. Guess I'll be seein you on Aug. 5th at the orientation!! Congrats!

Congratulations!!! good luck on your clinicals. I hope next year I'll be posting my good news too.

Sorry for ask. What was your score on the Teas exam and how did you study. :nurse:

Thanks.

Hi,

No worries on the questions, any advice I have I'll give.

My raw score on the TEAS was a 92%, the overall percentile was 99 for San Marcos.

I went on campus and bought the study guide, although you can also get them online. Make sure to know you're conversions, there's a bunch of those and if you haven't learned them, they definitely need to be memorized. Everything else was pretty much review, but the guide totally helped.

Then I went online and took the practice test, although it helped prepare me for the format of the real test, it was alot easier. The actual test was much more challenging I thought. All in all though, if you've completed all your GE's you should be ready to take the test after a little review.:D

GOOD LUCK!!!

Woo, that is a bid number. Thank you for all the information.

Congratulations! I got offered admission to the site in Temecula because they said San Marcos was filled. Has anyone else?

doesnt look like anyone has posted on this thread for a while, but I saw it and thought I would add a post. :p

For Fall 2008 I applied to CSUS and California State University, Chico and got rejected from both. Had a 3.9 GPA, work experience, and an 85.9% on the TEAS. I was 69 on CSUS's wait list and 21st on Chicos. I missed getting into Chico by 7 people...... ;/

I just sent in all my applications for the Spring of '09 and there were 7 schools. CSUS, California State University, Chico, CSU Fresno, CSU Stanislaus, CSU Long Beach, CSU San Bernadino, and Humboldt State. I have a 4.0 in my science pre-reqs and a 3.9 overall. I now have 200+ hours of volunteer exp. at Sutters ER, work experience, and am re-taking the TEAS exam this thursay and am hoping for a 90+. So let's hope that with 7 schools I get into a least one! Man I am nervous... I hate waiting!

Mine's complicated...sorta

Did prereq's....parents wanted me to move out, so had to do a LVN program (trade school so no waiting)

Applied to two ADN's twice

got rejection letters both times

(science GPA: 3.45, regular GPA: 3.5, 99% on TEAS)

Applied to BSN once and got in

Then had to leave d/t economy & hubby no longer working (boo!)

so then applied to ADN accelerated LVN to RN

Got in (thank god)

So total: 6

(and I got three months left)

2 nursing programs. 1 ADN and 1 state. Got into the State program rather easily. Turned it down because i did not want to go to school in Fresno. Picked the ADN progream. I guess having my other degree from a UC didn't hurt.
