How long do you wait?

Hello everyone!!!! I have put out applications for jobs and have been waiting to hear something(anything). My question is just that"How long do you wait"?Is 1 week or 2 weeks to long to think they still might want me?Or should I go back and fill another one out?I filled some out on the computer. Also went down in person to turn some in.I even filled out one for a place that wanted 1yrs experience(that I don't have)....How long did it take for any of you to get a call back for a job interview? Or should I call them too? Any ideas????????

I'd say call them. I applied online before without a response. I then called and was interviewed by HR, nurse manager, and hired all within 3 days.

Another option for you is to place a date that you will contact them in your cover letter.

I wish you lots of luck with your job search.

Sincerely,

Jay

I would wait about a week then call to make sure that they received the application and to see if the position has been filled yet. Good luck!

A few years ago I was putting applications out like crazy looking for a new job. I filled them out in early june. I actually didn't recieve any phone calls until August but ended up with two job offers. Slots will open up and if you are qualified they will call.
