I havent finished nursing school yet, I will this May. But it took me two years to finish the prereqs because I really only took like 1-2 classes a semester. Then the two year program, so 4 years all together. Ive never failed a class but for my friends who have, its really unfortunate, they get on with their lives by either taking the class over or finding another school but most people don't give up, even after failing a class.

well when I pass on the classes on the current schedule it will have taken me seven years total. That includes a major change and making up stupid mistakes. I have not failed a class yet, it really isn't an option for me. It is not even the back of my mind. I have had a few friends fail and they get right back to it harder than ever.

For all intents and purposes, I've been at it off and on all my adult life and have yet to finish. For various reasons I've started and stopped several times and then have had to go back, regroup, and start over. Technically I'm eligible for the NCLEX-RN, but have not been able to get my application to go through. Perhaps I will get all of this finished one way or another before I actually retire for good. I can definitely say that I am tired of the school process. Enough was enough years ago.
