I go to a community college here in delaware.
The way our program works, is as you as you sign up for the nursing program, they ask that you take the NLN as soon as possible. They will put you on the LPN waiting list right away. I took the NLN in September, and fortunately, I passed it. But it was hard! And since I passed the NLN, I am on the waiting list for RN clinicals, which will be between 1-1 1/2 years. But while I am waiting, I will take A&P 1 and 2, Chemistry and Microbiology. Those are the required courses for me to be able to even do clinical. And I already took clinical math. Then, I can do the clinical if they are ready for me, and go back to take my english's and psychology!
Hope this helps.

I'm from OK and got in first try. It was probably because of my high grade point ave. Always make the best grades you can...it opens doors.Last I heard, they turned away almost 200 applicants for next semester. It's really getting competetive.
Hey! Where in OK are you going next semester? Is it ECU? Sounds like we may be classmates next Spring!

I have completed all my prerequisite classes and will have finished up my general education classes by June 2004. Then I can apply into an RN program (Associates in Nursing, RN). My question is how long did you wait to get accepted after you applied into a school?
I will be applying to three schools here in San Fernando Valley and also Portland Community College in Oregon.
Thanks.
