On March 5th I interviewed for a speciality Pediatrics position in Enodcrinology at our clinic. During the interview I was informed that the hours for the position had changed therefore they had to repost the postition for 3 days and then interview anyone else who may have applied. I was told that they would let me know either way about the position.
The required three days posting happened 4 days later and only lasted the three days. It's now over 4 weeks after my interview and I am wondering if it would look bad that I called to check on the progress of the decision and if not, who should I call, the NM or HR?

yes, call to ask
I would speak to the NM (the person/people who are making the decision)

I would call whoever makes the hiring decision and say, "This is tvccrn. You interviewed me XXX weeks ago and I'm just calling to follow up on that interview." I've done that and it doesn't come across as desperate. Best of luck to you.
