How long for ATT?

What state are you in and when did you submit your papers?

In Texas our GN's usually get them 2-4 weeks after graduation. There is always someone whose paperwork gets jammed in the system and does not get GN Permit and ATT before getting out of orientation. They are not allowed to work without the Permit, so this is stressful. If the Permit expires before they are licensed, they cannot work. But somehow, it all comes together eventually. Only had one in the past few years who could not get ATT or Permit (due to infraction with law years ago).

Thanks I'm feeling very satisfied to finish a gruelling two years!

State is Virginia, and all the papers were submitted about 5 weeks ago with only transcripts pending. Our head instructor promised she'd be sending them in as soon as the transcripts were ready. I'm guessing they'd be sent by May 10th.

I'm in Virginia and was wondering the same thing. I mailed mine on the 27th of April, hoping to get the ATT soon, want to get the boards over with and get on with LIFE!!!!! Yesterday was the last day for exams at our college so maybe our scripts will go out today.

I live in California. Submitted my paperwork to the BRN in early March and got my ATT April 21. I graduate May 21. Have already signed up for my NCLEX to be taken on June 26. The thing that takes the most time is for the BRN to approve your application and process your paperwork. Hope this helps.

That's interesting - as far as I understood it here, we have to graduate and get all our transcripts approved by the BON before we can receive our ATT. Anyway, I'm just hoping the process isn't too slow so I can test before I forget everything (my brain is tired :stone)

Anyone from Georgia? I graduated May 7th and I am getting the run around about when our transcripts will be sent to BON. I am starting to get so stressed about it because I can't close on my new house until I pass boards! Anyone been through this in Georgia who could give me some kind of time table? I'm going to loose my mind in a minute.

Wondering how long it'll take in Massachusetts. I guess they changed the process from last year, so we're all wondering how long we'll have to wait for the authorization. Once you get that, how long does it take before you can get an open slot to sit for the exam??

How in the world did you manage to get your ATT BEFORE you even graduated?
