How to get into a nursing program?

Published

Hi. I'm new to this thread. But I need help with a situation. I am at a junior college in chicago. I just finished all my prerequisites and I was excited about becoming a nurse. After I took the Asset test I was already to begin. I am a straight A student and very dedicated. I knew that this program was limited, so that's why I did my best. I got a letter yesterday saying that I was not accepted. I am very disappointed and do not know what to do. I really want to know what other shools or places in Illinois besides trade schools offer LPN or RN classes that I can take at this time?:o

Hi there...I'm sorry you did not get accepted to the program...I know the feeling!!

I'll send you a link via private message that will actually list all of the schools in Illinois that offer either ADN or Bachelors Programs. Hopefull you'll be able to find something there!

Best of luck to you!

You could always look ahead to further degrees and other general education requirements that need to be fullfilled, I have been working thru the pre-req's for a masters program while in the ADN program, will only need Chem & human G&D to apply when I finish

Hey I'm taking my pre-reqs in Chicago too! Are you going to the H to the W? Good luck getting in, hope things turn around for you!

Good Luck Everyone!!!!!

Consider going to school out of state. I'm in Philadelphia. We have many nursing programs here, 4 ASN, 11 Hospital diploma, and 9 BSN programs. Try to look at other schools in close by states. There are many programs, not many teachers so find a program that is courting you to come in, you have options. Good luck.
