How is the BSN entry level program at Nova Southeastern University?

Hey I'm new to this site, and was just curious how Nova's nursing program is. I just got accepted into the Fall 2010 nursing program at the main campus in Davie. Any advice on how it is? Did you feel prepared when you took your NCLEX after completing the 27 month program? Would love to hear from anybody. I'm so excited and cant wait to start in august! :)

I will!! You do the same...... I have a feeling things are going to get confusing for a bit.

Congratulations....:yeah:

Thanks Mayte for the info yeah i will have professor ***** and ****** i think is the other one... We all have to take anatomy at Davie no matter if we are accepted into the Kendall campus. I just got my syllabus and an email from the professors letting us know that we need our books by certain dates and what they are, so i already ordered them... ***** emailed me that we need the book asap since we will be starting lecture asap and she gave us the ISBN numbers... i am not sure if that how they did it before or if they changed it...

its always like that, A&P its Dr. ****!!!! :) you guys will see how amazing that woman is... for Anatomy which is a lab and a separate clase, they actually give u a manual... we didnt have to but an atlas they told us to get it at first... but then they gave us a booklet!!! ;) so, im pretty sure they will give u one too.... THEY ARE BOTH GREAT TEACHER!!! GOOD LUCKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!

@mayteb: They really don't allow jeans?!! My scrubs still hasn't come in and I ordered it about 4 weeks ago! I barely have any business clothes grrrrrr. Thank you so much for the advices! Although, its making me quite nervous haha

NOOOOOOO Jeans its a BIG NO!! they will send you home if they see u on jeans or sandals... :( IK IK,, but, it is what it is... it is not necessary to go with a suit.... :) just wear a blouse and pants... and u will be fine (white jacket on) if u dont have ur scrubs it is OK!!! Dr, Lyons usually let u come in without uniforms for the first month, as long as they are not JEAN LOL... :) and dont be nervous.... :D JUST BE PREPARE!!! AND U WILL BE FINE!!!!!!

  2. while allnurses.com is a wonderful place to vent (without excess personally identifiable details) it is not the place to express why ("x" specific person, place or program) is terrible. gripe away, but since we cannot permit allegations to be made about named entities, your care in not naming them is very much appreciated.
  3. please do not give out personal information about others. do not name names where anyone could identify the person in any facility including your nursing programs.

the best to all of you! thank you for your cooperation.
