Hi all,

Our agency is getting ready to bring our Hospice nurses :saint:up on electronic

documentation. We already use the McKesson product for Home Care and I was wondering if any of you use that system, in particular how you handle problems and goals and weekly case conferences? But would also like to hear the good and the bad with Hospice electronic documenting. We are using Motion Tablets out in the field with our :nurse: Home Health Nurses and really think the timeliness and thoroughness of documentation has improved and we are hoping for the same outcomes with our Hospice Nurses. Thanks in advance for any comments, insights and suggestions.

I've heard the McKesson product is good. We use Suncoast and hate it. It has made documentation at least 3 x as long - very inefficient. I will be interested how you all like Mckesson.

We start building our Misys program this week, we are very excited, but also very scared! Most of us were "raised on paper". We looked at the McKesson product too, and it looked fairly comprehensive. Let's trade and keep each other posted.

Our agency just changed to McKesson and I absolutely hate it. It is not user friendly at all, there are too many little icons to remember where things should be documented. Prior to this company, I worked for a company that also used computer documentation, but the software was so much more user friendly. Maybe if I had never had experience with another program, I would like McKesson.

Our agency is now on Road Notes, which is fine but is not terribly intuitive. I hear GREAT things about HealthWyse (have a friend who is a project manager for that company). I've heard very mixed reviews about McKesson, but have never seen it.

We use McKession and I think it is the most convuluted program I have ever seen. I feel I am better than average in computer literacy and spend quite a bit of my time helping others figure out how to use McKession. There is a lot of redundency and I swear they hide things that I have to do during admissions. *snicker*

I do know that you can change and add things to McKession {not sure how much tho} so I guess with a good computer team you might be able to make it better.

I highly doubt it can be changed. If so, I believe it would have been done by now. That program is a mess. Your right, things are hiden and if you forget where it is, your stuck. It's a mess. It is hard for me to believe that anyone who is a nurse and reviewed that program would have even agreed to the purchase. I am sure it is not cheap.

Like you, I consider myself to be a bit better than average with a computer, I found this program to be a total nightmare. Half the time when we called IT, they couldn't even help us!:bugeyes:
