Highest hourly rates seen $$$$$

What is the highest hourly rate people have seen? Highest I have seen is $44. I am not talking about blended rates and yes I realize there are other components to compensation such as housing, benefits, etc.

Just wanna know what the highest hourly rate is, location, company?

I imagine when faststaff sends nurses in on a strike for a few weeks they can get some high hourly rates. Anyone care to share? Thanks!

$60 @ kp in northern ca

Also depends on Which specialty. I've seen offers for Dialysis or NICU nurses in upwards of $75 an hour when there is a high demand.

If your looking for what to expect in pay somewhere.. As a rule, I can stay at home, sleep in my own bed, and make $35-$38 as an Agency nurse.(step down)

If travel can't beat that, I don't do it.

Plain and simple.

Yep - I'm all for that! I live in downstate IL and I can get $57/hour in the ER as agency at Loyola.

I am currently on assignment in Tucson, AZ and one of the hospitals, Northwest Med Center, is paying $38 per hour for medsurg tele. And a dollar less for straight medsurg. It is the highest in the state. Several others in town have 2-4000$ completion bonuses. They do this because arizona gets all of the snow birds in the winter. Elderly folk from Iowa and such and the ER's get overrun.

s_corder99 how long of a nurse have you been coz i asked someone at one hospital at gilbert the one that looks like a church telling me that there start there nurses at $25 i thought that was kinds BS

Where in KY are you located if you don't mind me asking? I am currently on assignment in Memphis, TN. There are several agency nurses here and they say they can make their own schedule from week to week.

45-50/hr for PCU (stepdown) and ICU in Weston, WI

well im currently a nurse here in Childrens hospital of los angeles and believe is or not i only make 32 dollars and i work in NICU and its a level 3 hospital mann its time for me to go were the money is

Some of the hourly rates sound rather outlandish and unrealistic. If you are really making $50 an hour, great ! that would be even better for overtime pay! I am a staff nurse in northwest Florida and barely make $20 an hour, and only because I work ICU which gives you a -WOOT- $1 more for specialty pay, and have been in nursing a few years now.

Our hospital starts new nurses of at $17.01 and many think they have it made, because in the area here, thats monster $$$$.

Local travelers make $ 25 to 28 an hour and feel like hogs in you know what heaven.

Guess I need to move.

One question to add:

I have thought about traveling for some time. I have spoken to a few of the companies, I have never received a quote above $30 an hour. Wonder what I am doing wrong?

$47.50/hr in Boston.

I spoke with a recruiter with a travel nursing company and she works in the ICU in Jacksonville and she said they only pay $23/hr as an RN with benefits. She said that N.E. Fla doesn't pay well. Is the cost of living less than central or southern Fla??

I am in south west fla.
