hi

HI everyone i just want to say i am a new member and i just wanted to say hi! I am a senior in high school and I work as a CNA. I got my CNA this last summer. At school i am in a co-op program which lets me leave school early and work.(as a CNA the school even payed for me to get my CNA) I really enjoy the work and I get such a rewarding feeling when I help the residents. I want to go into nursing. and anytime i met a nurse i ask them like 1000 questions and they must think i am nuts! hahah! I have so much respest for nurses. I cant wait for the day that i can be called an RN thank you so much for the job u do! I have just one quick question at the local schools in your area do you have a co-op program were high school students can work as CNAs

thanks!

Hi Sara,

It's so great to hear your enthusiasm about working with patients. I think you are well on your way. Go for it! I have no idea about co-ops, but just wanted to reply to you and to wish you all the best. Study hard and keep up the positive attitude (it will save you more than you know).

I really am blessed by your enthusiasim! We don't have a coop program, but I think it would be great.

Good luck

Hello. Good luck!

During my daughters senior year she was in a medical careers class and 3 days per week she left school early and worked at the hospital. She was in ICU and ER. She helped with pt care and observed alot of interesting stuff. She watched a few surgeries and one surgeon even let her scrub in so she could be up close. She loved the expeirience and plans on being an ER doc.

It's wonderful to hear such positivity about nursing. I'm offically welcoming you to the field. I don't know about the coops, but I know there is a school near here that students can graduate high school as lpn's.
