Hi, I am thinking about going to Orlado Tech, but have also seen the 2 year program at Herzing College fast track to RN, 24 months and you are a RN. Does anyone go to this school and do hospitals employ Herzing Orlando Graduates. And does anyone know how or who i can work for that will assist in helping me pay for lpn and rn school.

This school is a new program. The site above is for accredited ASN programs, and that school is not listed.
I'm sure that once you have your RN license in your hands you will be able to find a job.
How to pay for school?? you need to apply for scholarships that are offered by the school, sometimes they have affiliations with hospitals where the hospital will pay if you work for them.

hwersing is a terrible school!!!!
i was going to attend it and changed my mind.
The staff on hersing is very unprofessional, nedless to say unpolite!!!
let me tell you what happened to me.
I was interested in theiir nursing program there fore whent to speak with an advisor(who was very unpolite and rude)
she straight up told me:
"you know what... you are going to take the net test before we can discuss your chances anyfurther, and just to let you know... it is so hard and most people will fail it and you need at least a 68 composite score to get in... my best bet is to go apply in orther schools also because this is very competitive and i dont want to disapoint you!!!"
OMG she said that without even knowing me, on the first day that we met and scared the living geez outta me!!!!
so well then i took the HORRIBLE MOSTER EATER MASSACRE NETtest, which i in fact is not bad at all and got a great score.
after about 2 weeks...
the same woman that was "chastizing" me, became sweet and said, listen our director wants to meet you, you dont even have to be on the waiting list, she said that she wants to talk to you, and wants you in the program now!
well... during those 2 weeks i went like crazy applying to other nursing schools, and found Keiser University, which i was VERY well recepted and threated by the advisors, couselors, staff in general!!! and they were oppening the 24month RN program (including pre-reqs). So i really fell in love with it and the advisor said, you know it will be comptetitive, did you take the net? i said yes, than she asked for my score, and said that was great and would help me on admission, but that was only one of the reqs. for admition in which i had to take the WONDERLIC test, and also get approved by "the board" which was the the campus president, the director of admissions, the nursing director (Carol Behar- who is a w-o-n-d-e-r-f-u-l person!!!) and then if they wanted me, i would be invited for the "interview"
so by that time, i told herzing that i needed my net scores due to the fact that i was also be applying in different schools to get better chances.
its like hell broke loose, they got mad, and said NO WAY we are not giving you your net scores, that is our property (well i paid for the daarn thing!!!) they gave me such a hard time that i had to call ERI give them my SSN and they were able to track my scores and send it to Keiser (cost me 40 bucks and 10 business days)
well i decided to go to hersing since i had to get my papers which my advisor had to keep for 1 day since the zerox machine was broken!!! (spiff)
whe i got there the nursing director came to talk to me and said come on! you are in class, we want you, you need to get your background check and so on and so forth i said:
"WHAT???? i was literaly chastized by this HUGE MONSTER (advisor) who told me to go somewhere else since i probably would not have many chances here, so then i decided and went! thank you but no thanks! i found my school!!!"
and thanks GOd, i am 1 pre -req away from my classes which will start in janurary!!! and keiser has been really good to me!!! the staff there is great the A&P teacher is AWESOME!!! and i am really excited about all of this!!!
now there are a few HERSING people that dropped out of the program there just to start at keiser!!!
sorry hersing but...
that was totally unprofessional!!!!

I have to agree with Csantos...
I looked into Herzing back in 2006 when they were first starting their nursing program. I was accepted but reconsidered based on all the alarms going off in my head...
The staff there was limited to maybe a whole 10 people. And they all played several roles. For example... the registrar was also the english professor, the math professor was also the academic advisor, etc (just an example). The credentials of these professors (at the time, no nursing staff was introduced) was not at all impressive. That was scary!
Next they make you sign a contract that the textbooks you purchase are school property... they are loaned out to you for the semester (at a huge cost).
Yes, they are extremely possessive of your NET scores. I ended up taking the NET again elsewhere.... and they are soooo money hungry! Like any other private institution, they will hound you to death when you express an interest and meet their admission requirements. The only way I was able to get them off my back was to move!
So my suggestion.... look elsewhere. They are not even accredited with NLN!
Hi thanks to both of you for the information. I did call Keiser and i am very excited but also have a few questions, i am going to get information on Tuesday. I have looked at allot of schools, however Keiser like u said u do not need your prereqs and they do not have a waiting list, however other school you need to have all the prereques and their is a waiting list over a year to get into, so i am concerned as Keiser is also 3 days a week or night for 4 hours and in two years you will be an RN, is the real??? The school looks great and it is accredited but is this true, and if you do the night course when are your clinicals? Sorry for all the questions but i am very interested and really excited about going and getting started and if i pass everything i could be a RN in under two years??? I thank you for all your information.
so i am concerned as Keiser is also 3 days a week or night for 4 hours and in two years you will be an RN, is the real???
this is not how it works, there is 24 months, 10 of them is for your pre reqs, you can take them at night (other then A&P I and II, and micro) so you can take 7 months at night 3x a week, then when you get to your sciences (A&P I and II, and micro) you take them every day for 5 hours!!!
and then you go to your core classes (everyday on the morning) for 5 hours
when are your clinicals?
they are on week/ weekend days it is pre scheduled!
i really like this school and the teachers are great the A&P teacher is great, the math teacher is great...
let me know what time will you be there tuesday because i will be there! until 2-3pm

I requested information from Keiser and stated what I needed and the guy there was very nasty and unprofessional to me. I think it is because I work in Admissions at a private university here in Florida but we don't offer an RN program. So he was foolishly nasty and I have not looked at their program in 2 years because he thought I was fishing his company.
After trying the community college route I have yet to finish a class but have had to pay for three and hundreds of dollars worth of books that I can not now use because that schedule and trying to do pre-reqs is not working for my needs as a single mother and my time to raise two children. I have multiple degrees and I'm just trying to find an accredited program that I can complete that doesn't want my kidneys as pay as I'm out of student loan money because I hit my graduate school aggragate limit with my second masters.

Herzing classes and clinicals are at Night $30K+
Keiser classes Pre-req day or night but the Nursing classes in Day time $30K+
Remington BSN day time (12 months) $30K
SCC offers a (evening and weekend) ADN
Here's a link to all the CC's in Florida http://www.fldoe.org/cc/colleges.asp Research the school for schedules.
Your initial encounters with these schools was stranged. But I've known and worked with students and graduates of both Keiser and Herzing. Herzing is new, but there 1st pass on the Nclex was good 27 out of 22...81%. The down side is that is not NLNAC but the are fully approved by the FLBON. Keiser anuaral class have graduate yet.
I went for site visit and nursing orientations for all of them. I only went to Herzing once the night schedule was not for me. Good luck with your choice.
Thank you for providing information. I have been attending VCC and SCC and after this semester I have one pre-req remaining to apply to the programs at each school. I am a straight A student. And I am very happy I decided on this option.
