HepB titer

I have done 2 out of three shots of HepB and I won't be able to get the thirs one before school starts in fall. My doctor says that she won't give me a titer until i get all three shots done. The school that I got accepted will disqualify me from the ACE nursing program unless I present to them the titer. Any idea how can I get it, because my doctor won't give it to me

Yes, that's were I went but they wont give me a titer for the HepB without geting all 3 doses done.

I wondered about this as well. Got my first shot this week, second one is at least 30 days after the first, third one is at least 4 months after the first. My letter states that I cannot do clinicals until the third shot it complete....that would put me one month after school starts. I would have thought that they would give you enough time to complete the entire series or shots or at least proof that you are in progress. Do you have an orientation soon? I will be asking them at mine...good luck!

At my school, as long as you have started the process you can start clinicals. They know that it takes 6 months to complete the series.

Same here. From the time you get your acceptance letter until first day of clinicals isn't 6 months. I talked to them at orientation and they said that it's fine as long as I've had the first two and then update my paperwork as soon as I get my third in December.

My school is the same as the above posters. I would call the school and see what they suggest.
