Good day!!!

Really.......really glad I found this site....... !!!

I'm a 4th yr nursing student... graduating this March 2006.....

I been really looking for somebody who can share their knowledge and points of view in preparing for nursing licensure.....

can somebody please....

share their tips.......

and I'm not advertising but... would it be possible to ask in your own opinion.......what nursing review center you took and are you satisfied with their service....

if that's not possible........

could you at least share.... your review tips/techniques....?

what did you do when you feel so bored and sleepy..?

do you scream?!!!!

do you dance?!!!!

do you just sleep and give in?

did you do study groups?

do you study alone?

oh.......please tell me.......anything!!!

thank you guyzzzz........:wink2:

Hi! Anticipating the board is a bit worrisome. Review does give you confidence and enhance your study habits. Just don't over-do things. Try to establish good study habits that works best for you and don't forget to take some time off doing such 'coz you don't want to saturate yourself.

You've practically learned what you needed to know in school. I believe review is just "polishing" the gem that you already possess.:specs:

Prayer help soothes all worries and fears.Ask your love ones to pray for you too, it helps. On the day of the exam say a little prayer before you start answering the questions..ask the Holy Spirit to guide you and to keep you relax and collective..mental block..that's the last thing you want to happen to you so try shaking off the nerves by praying on the day of the exam. Be positive all the time, believe in yourself and you'll make it.

I kept repeating the verse "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" on my way to the testing site. Goodluck!

I agree with Jameson. My cousin took the NCLEX exam 3 times before she finally passed. On her fourth try, she emailed the entire family to pray for her. She was sufering from test anxiety. Two weeks later, she passed the test. I believe God made it possible.

He is awesome!

himashkaimitopoh vbmenu_register("postmenu_1449408", true); , i assume you are asking about the local board exam right? i just passed the december 2005 board exam and I can say it's by God's grace. we can study hard and do our best and pray, but ultimately it is God's will that will prevail. I prayed specifically to have self-control and patience (fruit of the Spirit right?). I made a study plan that i really folloed, for example which books i intend to study and what subjects, then i divided the pages of the book and made goals per day. For example for the month of january study CHD and PSYCH, what books on those subjects? . Divide the pages for example 300 pages, divided by 30.. so thats 10 pages for one day. You end up having confidence and feeling a sense of accomplishment as you are able to finish goals you have set for the day and the week. it's so expensive to enroll in review centers, so i just borrowed from my friends the tests they took in the review centers so i can practice.

hope that helps :)

hi.. i am a nursing student too.. hopefully to graduate this coming march and wish to take my licensure examination this coming june. I've been lookin over the net for online review for nursing licensure examination... i found some and i keep on searching until i found your post just now. Thank you for posting this.. i know this would be a great help to us pre-nurses. Comments and suggestions really help us in away. Our school stated its review classes since the first semester but still our knowledge about nursing is somewhat limited. Me and my classmates decided to take the Licensure Examination this June, until we heard the news that there will be new type of exam (per subject)as well as new sets of questions (is this true?) this coming examination and this gave us to think twice whether to take the exam this june or on december. My other concern is, i wish there would be more online review sites that would give lots of questions and tips for the said examination. I am still looking for sites too that has online interaction (chats) for nurses and pre- nurses... this way we will have live discussion about any subject matter as the same time gain friends and share some fun... what do you think?

you know you can never be sure whether you'll pass or fail right? there's always 50% chance if you take it this june or december... there's no guarantee that delaying it will make you pass.. and if "i hope not" you don't you'll just delay it pag december pa. delay only if you don't intend to study now... but then again... if your not gonna prioritze studying now kelan pa diba? You have time pa naman. maximize and prioritize the four months.... manage your time well. Remember psych and chd to the max... discipline is hard... it was tough for me that's why I had to ask the Lord to help me bulid that character... :) God be with you as you study..

a month before the exam, try to wake up everymorning as you are like to be taking the exam and practice simulated exams using the same time the local board exam is given, this gives you time to adjust for the big day!:)

ei duhrwayne.....

it is true that there are new set of exams......... every subject would be equally divided.......

so this examination would be harder...... coz you cannot just concentrate on one subject........ you have to study, all of them!!!!

thank God your school started your review early!!! my school would not start the review until March!!!

omigod! you are so lucky!!!

yeah........

we should have a site dedicated for all students who are to take their local board exam!!!

Good luck to us!!!

I just passed the dec 2005 board exam and attended the jan 23 oathtaking, one of the boards said that the exam would be different this year, that's true, it would be equally divided subjects.

Hello!!! i was also a second courser when i took up Nursing and with the help of the Lord, i was able to pass the December 2005 Philippine Board Exam. REview Centers make no difference.... i mean they are just there to help or to guide us on how we shall treat every question in the board exam... of course they will teach us how to memorize concepts and apply those concepts in exams... but at the end of the day, it is us, examinees, and our resolved to pass will make us NURSES.

I have been to 3 review centers before taking the Board exam last december and i noticed that they are all the same. All it gave me was confidence, which i dont have when i graduated from my school. Gapuz pentagon or RUN.... they are all OK, but do not rely on them, rely more on developing your own study habits... this counts a lot....

DOH, yes it matters....

Try also Carl Balita's Nursing Review.... this is a good aterial in the last two weeks before the exam.....

LASTLY, PRAY AND ASK THE LORD TO GUIDE YOU....

hope this will help you guys and goodluck!!!!!!!!!

Hi! Which one do you prefer Gapuz, Pentagon or URC? Or which for you is the Best with regards to reviewers or instructors?
