what are good reasons to follow dr's orders

I'm at a loss how to reply; could you give a little background to the "why" of the question -- what brought this up? What exactly do you want to know?

i need info for a speech i'm giving, i have that not following may lead to more serious complications, as preventive maintenance and cost

When the orders seem correct, and they will not injure or otherwise harm the patient. When they are in your scope of practice to follow is another I can think of.

You may need to clarify your question RN2B...this is vague :)

Maybe a better question would be "what are good reasons NOT to follow doctor's orders?"
