hi,i do not get a chance to check this site often.. but managed to do so today.. i found this question quite interesting for i used to work at loeb center which was in montefiore hospital in the bronx. the concept for loeb center was based on lydia hall. the nurses gave the patient care and the nursing assistance were there to assist the nurse..can it work???yes...i had several good years there. it really needed team work and nurses communicated with nurses and the nursing assistants.. what made it fall apart???it was costly...so they started changing the nurse patient ratio,.. what was once one nurse per 8 patients.. became one nurse per 10 patients.. and the patients were becoming more and more acute.. i am not sure what year.. but loeb center did shut down..

Why do I get the sudden urge to ask why you aren't doing your own homework?

This reminds me of what is going on in my husband's workplace. An MA is in his first year of nursing school and has take home tests. For the last two finals the charge nurse sat at her desk openly doing them for him! I guess it happens all the time. The unit manager was told but could do nothing about it. A lot of people are very perturbed by this unethical behavior. Some people want to contact the school...I just don't want him as my nurse, ever. And...why didn't I ever get a take-home final? Will they give him a take-home nclex too?:icon_roll

Please come back with a more specific question in how we can help you with this assignment. Otherwise you're just going to get flames from persons saying "do your own homework".

You're being much to vague here, and need to figure some things out yourself.

Good luck.

Thread closed for now.

I know that caring cannot be taught. "Doing" skills can be taught. The importance of caring about a patient while doing their "care"(aka highly skilled nursing science) is most important to me. Also caring if you do a good job at it. It is also caring that is the #1 cause of burnout whenI burnout. So I take a vacation.

Jean Watson, I have heard of but never studied that theory.

My theory is get as much done as accurately as possible without killing anyone. Don't get me started on those stupid care plans...eesh.

We are not here to answer these types of questions.

Please clarify if there's anything specific about your assignment you might need help with, rather than ask us to do the entire assignment.

Also note we have student assistance forum here: https://allnurses.com/forums/f205/

where questions can be asked, but we won't do your homework for you.

Good luck!
