  1. Virginia Henderson and Faye Abdellah have formulated theories which are similar with each other. Discuss the similarities of Abdellah's 21 nursing problems and Henderson's 14 basic needs of patients. ???

According to Lydia Hall, the patients should be cared for only professional registered nurses who can take total responsibility for the care and teaching of their patients. What is your stand on this? Defend your answer.

On the bases of the ten carative factors developed by Jean Watson, cite at least three of these factors that you usually utilize in showing your caring attitude towards your patients. Explain by giving examples or illustrations.

as a nurse, how will you illustrate your nursing practice in relation to the "Helping Art of Clinical Nursing"?...
  5. ..how true it is?.. that there will be a reaction or a chemical reaction that will affect the patient physiologically.. WHEN we use a sign pen or a pentel pen.. the INK when it touches the bottle on labelling i.v fluids (the i.v bottle/plastic) ?.. that in fact the product was labelled and with print according to manufacturer preference.
  6. i am a staff nurse for 2 years rotating in different areas like e.r, med/surg, ob-gyne, pediatric and d.r. & one time assigned in MICU, my first time. good thing the patient in micu was stable m.i, recovering from m.i. but still hooked in cardiac monitor and pulse oximeter & still with side drips of isoket and dopamine. what happened was we had a very long endorsement since it was my first time in micu asking all questions i can think of about the patient., i came to realize though i am flexible,i still have to undergo trainings regarding INTENSIVE CARE which a lot of adjustment if you came regardless of what area, besides you will be expected to knowledgeable and skillful not only in caring and monitoring ICU patient but also skillful in operating and interpreting what you observe in CM or in PO,.. i hope the next time i will be assigned in micu, i have had already completed my trainings in icu:
  7. that will be good for you nanay bcoz working 1st here in our country will make you competent and skilled unlike going abroad empty handed and so what will happen next will be.. your employer might advise you to go home if you failed the trainings.. im 2 years working as staff nurse and presently a part time clinical instructor but frankly, still planning to work abroad. but i am happy serving our kababayans despite of low salary if i may say and gladly teaching our future nurses. 'still praying for nursing job abroad.. Goodluck to us! May God bless us all always
  8. ..i was called by the hrd mngr bcoz of late ivf. 'really im disappointed i am 3-11 shift and received that said ivf really late that was supposed to be consumed at 230pm, so naturally the next ivf will be late and so i referred it to the attending physician.accdgly, its ok bcoz the patient was having chf and dyspneic. what really irritates me i was told to submit a written report.. bcoz i dont think twas necessary at all.. late ivf really happens! a lot of factors to mention
  9. i think.. not necessarily should be being FIRED, not unless he/she's already a licensed iv therapist. anyway, one cannot practice iv insertrion without undergoing IV THERAPY program for nurses
