You don't. You need to graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

You need to be a bit more specific about your need. Are you currently in an RN program and wish to take the LPN before you graduate from there? I do hear that in California, they have been letting CNAs with about 5 years of experience that have taken pharmacology (I believe), take the boards, but will be limited to working in that state only. Personally, I do not agree with this because any nursing program addresses 4 domains; med-surg, psychiatry, peds and maternal health. Being limited to med surg would not really be enough, and also, it basically undermines the efforts of LPNs that went the traditional route to obtain their licenses.
