help RN on probation

Hi I have been a nurse for 19yrs. Took a second job while working in a hospital. Should never have taken it was not qualified but was hired. Left after nine months. The agency put in allegations against my license. Four years later I was given probation. The board of nursing wants you working as a nurse but with probation no one will hire. The hospital in the meantime has done away from the position I was in.

How do I find a part time nursing position in nursing that will accept the probation?

Sorry you're going through this. I had dealt with an order of 3 years probation with the CA BRN and was able to get off of it after doing 2 years (as I petitioned for early termination).

Honestly, just keep applying anywhere and everywhere. I know it is such an unfair position to be in. Because of this ordeal, I really am passionate about being a nurse advocate.

Feel free to DM me if you'd like to connect.

Can you explain how you were able to end your probation period early?

Dialysis might be an option for you. Though its very specialized, it is friendly for nurses on probation

I'll look into it. I don't see many job postings for Dialysis RNs on Indeed. Maybe I'll have to walk in and ask

Would suggest looking at organization's career website as you'll likely get redirected to that should you call or go in-person.
