I'm doing a resume' update, been an RN since June 2001, worked in critical care and homecare...my question is, how does one go about a brief description of one's job i.e., is it really necessary to list some/most of the tasks? More importantly, do you guys know of any good resources to do a great resume'??? Any help would be welcome :)

I like Microsoft Publisher for resumes. The have a great template that is available.

As far as listing tasks, depends on what you are applying for............

Example you listed critical care, but what type of unit, types of patients, types of monitoring, use of PA catheters?, IABP?

For your other position, what types of patients did you care for? Use of any type of specialty equipment?

Hope that this helps.............. :balloons:

Coco -- As Suzanne suggested, the idea is to target the resume to the folks you wanna impress and the job you're shooting for.

Good luck!
