The college network Rep just left my house and was pitching her program to me to go to Excelisor college. I don't know what to do. I have to pre reqs to finish before applying to the lpn to rn bridge program at my local community college. But now people are saying it will be a waiting list for that program too now. I am so confused:confused:. I don't want to go through the program and then the BON don't accept the school. I don't want to live in tampa fl all my life me and my husband is thinking about moving after i finish school to either nashville, dallas, or north carolina. If either of these states don't accept my license then what am I going to do. Someone help me out please the cost is good for me because I have finished most of my general courses. The cost of the whole thing will cost me 4950 dollars thats not bad and Im ready to start working. Since I graduated as a LPN no one will hire without at least 6 to a year experience.
Anyone can Help I really appreicate it. Thanks it Advance:crying2::crying2:

Stay away from The College Network. If you really must have their study guides, buy them used off ebay for $15 or $20 apiece. Don't sign any contracts for $5000 with these people. Go to http://www.excelsior.edu to learn about the nursing program. They can tell you at the school about FL accepting their degree for licensing, but you should call the FL Board to get the latest information direct.

All three states you mention welcome EC grads. Information is here:

You do not need to sign a contract with The College Network -- there are less expensive ways to obtain study materials. The dollar amount quoted to you probably doesn't even include the costs you have to pay to Excelsior AFTER you pay The College Network. Please read this on the Excelsior website:
https://www.excelsior.edu/Excelsior_College/About/Test_Preparation_Services
As stated on EC's website, no outside vendor is authorized to provide admissions counseling or academic advising services on behalf of Excelsior College.

You definitely don't have to use The College Network as the above had mentioned. They are just a publishing company that sells study guides in binders. You will save a lot of money and wont be tied to any debt if you don't use them. Ebay has the study guides as mentioned. Check them out. Also, allnurses has a wealth of information from current and graduates of the Excelsior program. Do a search and you'll see all of the threads and posts. Everyone here is very supportive and are great at giving sound advice.I hope it all works out for you and good luck!
