Hello. I have read through this whole forum and got some very helpful information about my upcoming school nurse interview. I have worked in home health for the last 8 years and I am ready for a change.
My interview is tomorrow morning and I am so nervous. I have heard that over 60 nurses applied for this position. I am thankful to be called in for an interview. Does anyone have any last minute advice that may make me stand out above the other candidates?
Thanks in advance!!!!

I would stress how you have worked independently in your HH job and how you would transfer that to the school environment. You might also stress how you need to prioritize and work with a variety of clients, also both good school skills.
Let us know how it turns out!

I remember they asked me to tell them something about myself that they didn't read on my resume. Walk in with a smile, give firm hand shakes when you arrive and when you leave and remember to thank everyone. Confidence is key. You got this :)

Be prepared for a team interview-admin, teachers guidance etc. Stress the level of autonomy you developed working in HH. Stress your connection to the local medical community-assuming that is developed based on your interactions with them while in HH.
Good Luck!
