HELP!! I need to pass the ATI.

Help!!!! My school requires us to pass the ATI test in order to send our paperwork so that we can take our NCLEX. The problem is that I have taken it 3 times and still can't pass. I have been studying exam cram, saunders, nclex made easy, I just don't know what to do next. If somebody has any advise or which books to buy to keep on studying in order to pass my ATI please help. I have also taken some kaplan tests on the web. p.s. when I take them I do well.

thanks again.

is this the same as the Hessi???I would get a HESI study guide,with us it was spread out over 5 tests in intervals with the last one being a combo so it made it a little easier...not sure what the ATI is

HI Church123,

ATI is something that most school are using to assess the ability of pass rate for the NCLEX.

There are a series of ATI books (med-surg, pharm, ob, peds, fund. of nrsing & mental health) that goes along with the ATI. It gives you a basic overview of everything you need for the ATI. Our school supplied our books for us. If you so not have them you may try the website ATITESTING.COM

also when you take the ATI test and you go online to view your results, there is a break down with each area of strength and weakness and it tells you the topic of the question you missed and what to study and focus on where you are weak in. For exam, if you had a question on "club feet" and you missed the question, Ati would list that as an area you needed to study.

GOOD Luck to you,:yeah::nurse:

My school uses ATI too. To stack all those books up makes one incredibly large stack of books. We were given the books as we took our courses. I can't imagine cramming for the test. SOOO much information. Unfortunately, while Saunders, etc. will be helpful for the NCLEX, it's not going to be the book for the ATI. If your school doesn't provide you with the books/CDs for studying, then you shouldn't be responsible for passing. ATI is a huge part of my program, with many finals actually being the ATI. I take my exam in Dec. I'm really nervous. Unfortunately, I know no shortcut around the ATI. It would help to take practice tests, as we have access to in our program.

The ATI website also has practice test that you can take.

Ask your school about getting a ATI account with access codes and passwords to take the practice exam, my school supplied that for us. Or try contacting ATI @ ATITESTING.COM

we also do ATI at my school. Be glad you can keep retaking your test. We have two attempts at a 90% and then we have a stack load of remediation to do :down: We have a couple of students from last year who still haven't taken their boards because they haven't passed ATI.

I have heard from everyone who's done ATI that it is MUCH harder than the actual NCLEX, so just think once you pass, you know you'll be able to pass NCLEX :up:

I don't know any hints other than study the ATI books, take the practice tests, and watch the DVD's. Good luck!
