Help ! Chamberlain??

Published

Hello everyone,

I'm on the process of applying to a nursing school, so many options. For those whom have attendant Chamberlain, would you recommend ? I live in hollywood fl, would be attending the school in Miramar. If anyone goes there, please get in touch with me. Also for those whom are nurses already, do you find it hard to find a good job right after school ?

thank you for your time : ) !

This is just my limited experience from working in the ED, so take it with a grain of salt. The hospital I work for does not hire grads from for-profit institutions. In fact, they prefer to hire ADN grads from reputable programs than BSN grads from Chamberlain or Keiser University. Be very careful. The few nurses I know who went to Chamberlain say that they practically paid with the blood of 1,000 virgins to go there.

Well, I attend Chamberlain in ATL and graduate next Friday... I've already accepted an offer on an ICU step down floor... Many of my other friends, as well as ones who have already graduated have accepted positions or are already working in very reputable hospitals here in ATL.... I'm sorry I don't know much about Florida, but I loved my education at Chamberlain ATL. Good luck :)

It really depends on the hospitals in your area. The hospital I work for has Chamberlain listed as one of the accredited schools where we're allowed to get reimbursed if we want to pursue the BSN. I got my ADN from a local school and I'm currently finishing my RN-to-BSN with Chamberlain.

My advice would be to contact HR at the hospitals you're interested in and ask if they accept new grads from Chamberlain.
