guys,do you know any hospitals or employers in the United States of
America who direct hire nurses from the philippines without undergoing
any agencies? or can you recommend any agencies who has a direct
hospital in the USA for employment? I already completed all the
necessary requirements (NCLEX, IELTS, VISASCREEN and HOSPITAL
EXPERIENCE). What I really need now is an employer who can sponsor me
for my processing of my VISA in order for me to work in the USA. I
really need your help regarding this matter. I am looking forward to
your response. Thank you very much. :loveya:

You are affected by retrogression and looking at several years wait. Many employers are not looking at foreign trained nurses to petition due to the long wait but would suggest you contact hospitals in the areas you want to live and work.

actually, you can opt for the H1B non-cap - guess that would speed a bit your processing for US.. but you still need an employer..
the best is, if you have friends and relatives in US - place your dox in a CD, send it to them (ask 'em to print the dox for you) and let them find an employer whose willing to petition you.. :) .. don't forget to look for a reputable lawyer!
best of luck!

where and how did you get this info? and how reliable? are you aware of retrogression? H1b is not a visa for nurses.
what do you mean that H1B is not a visa for nurses? ..
H1B non-cap visas are for gov. researchers, higher education (universities) -> some of them have hospitals and also needs health care team..
retrogression? aren't they making use now of the lottery system? .. not sure though, just do some research about it.. :)

And these are for specialists. The US government is actually reviewing each and every H1-B visa at this time as many did not meet the requirements that they were designed to be used for.
A nurse coming from the Philippines that has no experience in the way things are done in the US is not considered a specialist. Most are hired in as new grads as well.
oooh.. now i'm worried..
i already have a job offer to edmonton.. but my previous mentor in english exam encouraged me to file an application to her (for US)- all photcopies, no money involve.. i asked her for the name of employers - she gave it to me (one is a university) .. promises me that if i passed the interview, can be deployed in 3 months time using the H1B noncap. I checked it out with one of the employer if its really possible, they replied via email saying "it is possible using H1B noncap and premium processing."
the thing is, im just going to take my nclex this november.. in case i failed - continue the processing with my agency for edmonton.. if i passed - pull-out the original documents from my first agency (pay them) and apply for US..
now i'm really really confuse if i will be making the right decision..
You cannot even consider applying for a visa like this without having passed the NCLEX-RN exam, the English exams and have a Visa Screen Certificate in hand.
Facilities can promise what ever they want, but there is still no unlimited cap for the H1-B visa. Hospitals that can use them are still given a limited number that they can use.
But the bigger fact remains that the US government is currently investigating all of them as they were meant to be used for specialists only, and only about 11% have. So expect some significant changes to come down the way as well.
Temporary visas can also be cancelled at any time by the employer or even the US government as well. And then you would need to leave the US soon after. You also cannot work for any other employer while you are on the H1-B visa, things are quite restricted with it.
thank you suzanne for letting me know about this..
it seems like the process is quite illegal in a way.. whew!
u just saved me! :wink2:
