I got the advice on here to get a book called Test Success: Test Taking Strategies for Beginning Nursing Students by Patricia M. Nugent and Barbara A. Vitale. It helped a lot with learning how to decipher those questions.
My other advice is to just do a LOT of practice questions. Get apps if you have a smart phone, get Silvestri/Saunders, ATI etc and do the questions that pertain to what you are studying. The more you do, the better you will get at them.

Get the book Fundamentals Success by Patricia M. Nugent and Barbara A. Vitale. You can order it at Amazon. I think I paid around $30 for it. The book teaches you how to break down and answer NCLEX style questions and is divided into chapters to correspond with Fundamentals material. Seriously this book is worth its weight in gold, I suggested it to a classmate who was struggling and she started using it and went up one whole letter grade. It's part of the Davis Success Series and there are books in Maternal Child, Psychology, Pediatrics and Med Surg, I have no problem recommending all of them. Good Luck!:)

I was going to suggest that exact same book as not.done.yet. It is worth every penny, and I think it's only $16!
