Having a difficult time .

Been trying so hard to do this , go to school and do good at it. Well I guess I tried to hard and got wrote up on not having my homework today. I honestly forgot it due to a test and clinicals. This is really getting the best of me. I want the degree so bad, but it seems that every time I try so hard I get further behind. Is this normal?

If you have any tips please or encouragement is appreciated. Thanks.

I felt like that all t/o nursing school. It's overwhelming at times. Sounds like you need to treat yourself. Dinner out or a relaxing bath... My worst mistake was studying too long and too much, stressing constantly, and not sleeping enough. In my third quarter I did alot less of the former and alot more of the latter. My grades were so much better.

I carried a small legal pad and wrote everything down, assignments, due dates, test dates, clinical times, everything I wanted to be sure not to forget.

What I did to star organized and not forget tests/ homework is, get an organizer or PDA whichever is easiest for you, and at the beginning of every semester look at all of your syllabus' and mark down everything that is due in your calendar. That really helped me, otherwise I could've never kept up with all of the homework, papers and tests. Good luck to you and hang in there! it goes by fast!;)

A pocket calendar became vital ~ I would write down all due dates for assignments, test, clinicals, etc. This helped a ton, because I have been known to be forgetful

:kiss Hugs ~ and do something nice for YOU.

I graduated in May of 2003 and I could not have gotten by without my desk calendar. I used a pocket organizer too ($5 at OfficeMax), but the big desk calendar really helped my visualize which weeks were going to be hectic and prepare for them ahead of time. Hang in there...it's worth it! I'm sending a hug your way!!! :kiss
