“Have you applied somewhere else?” Interview question.

When you apply somewhere, why do they ask you “have you applied at other places?” One employer who was interviewing me actually got mad at me when I said yes.

They got "mad"? Seriously? Sounds like a good place to avoid. Most job candidates have applied for multiple positions. It's not good practice to apply to ONE job and then wait to find out before applying to another. Poor interviewer, which doesn't speak well for the facility.

I agree and that is why it was so weird for me. I did not get the job but even if they offered I still would have declined due to the manager’s behavior during the interview. If she is like this during the interview then while working she would be even worse.
