Yes, I went to school for years with two children and a husband that was no help with anything. I made it finally, even through divorce, remarriage and another child.

I have one regret. I wish that I had gone full-time instead of one or two classes at a time. It was not that hard to take more classes and I did do that during the last year and a half.

My children (the two oldest) went through the mill beside me. My diploma should have been given to them.

I would just say "Do it!" to anyone. There is always a way!

I graduated LPN school when my boys were 3 and 5. Worked for a couple of yrs and went back for my ADN. I worked every day that I didnt have class or clinicals. Plus I had a husband who worked and a mother that was battling breast cancer. I am now working on my BSN-MSN. My oldest is now a sophomore in high school and I have figured it out that he will graduate high school and I will graduate with my MSN the same month!

If it is something that you really want, then it can be done. Good luck to you!

You 2 were soo much inspiration to me:rolleyes: .

I will pray 4 the strength to finish w/o stopping:chuckle

Thanks again

I agree completely!

I went to school full time while working full time with two kids and during/after a horrendous divorce. While it was awful in some ways, knowing it was time limited was sure a help. :) And I am glad EVERY DAY that I have my degree.

I feel better about the whole situation:chuckle .Now I feel I can finish the RN program w/o "issues":chuckle I just hope I stick to it:uhoh3:

Thanks again:)

I did it with 4 kids, a part-time job, a drawerful of unpaid bills, and a husband who didn't like what I was doing. He got over it when we climbed out of the red and started living like respectable folk. I've never once regretted my decision, and I would tell anyone even thinking about it to "JUST DO IT"--no excuses. :)

I remained an LVN for many years working full time. I took one or two prerequisites a semester.

When my kids were in high school I returned for my ADN. A couple years later earned my BSN just months before turning 50.

We were doing OK with my husband working and my LVN pay. We feel like the "Havemores" now.

I didn't even do it for the money. I was always being elected to represent my unit. I am so glad for what I learned. I am able to assume much more responsibility.
