Didn't see the thread anywhere else...so...

Thanks to the soliders who fight everyday...thanks to the mothers who take time to pray.

Praise the freedom that we defend....knowing that evil will never win.

The cammo comes in and destroys the facist,

who knew that absolute power could not last.

who are the brave, those who go to war.....

who are the brave, those who fight without score?

All those with heart and mind...

defending all they find.....

Who are the brave?

those who fight no more......

those who live no more.....

These are the brave.

Take time to remember WHY we do what we do....

my thoughts to those trying to sleep right about now. i've been wondering how those who have to sleep tonight due to work schedules will be able to do so with all of the cracks and pops going on.

Earplugs work wonders on nights like tonight.

This is a day late....but.....

I spent my second July 4th, which is also my eldest child's birthday, away from home in a country in which freedom is non-existent. People live under sometimes constant surveillence (yep, still happens---not paranoid---people REALLY are watching us!), free practice of religion is threatened, admittance to university is often denied unless one is willing to pay "extra", and on, and on.

So, my hat's off to those who have given so much to keep America free. Yes, she's old and cranky at times and screws up a lot. But, folks, she's free! And many have given their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honors to keep her that way. My hat's off as well to the families of those folks who have sacrificed directly for us. They sacrifice so much as well. I still tear up when I see Old Glory, and have been known to have tears running down my face (and getting some odd looks from the locals) when I'm close to our embassy & see her waving in the breeze.

I know that I am looking forward to my plane touching down in D.C. in a few weeks for my first time home in a year. How sweet, that I'll have the privilege of being in our nation's capital on such a momentous occasion.

So, God bless America. May He shed His Grace on us all.

Girl...I tried getting online early to register for classes! There were two spaces open or lecture and lab ...but I still couldn't get in...I got on at 5 am on the dot...Oh well, they will do it again sometime soon. I heard X was awesome! I couldn't reply back to your message about your pre-reqs....but no, I am actually retaking all of these classes...GRRRRRR..I had originally gone for nursing, but I changed my mind and ended up with a degree in Business Management. Now, all of my sciences have expired....plus I am retaking some other classes to get A's. I am actually taking more online courses in the Dallas County Community College district..they offer alot of the pre-reqs in short terms (like 2 months)..according to ratemyprofessors.com, they are a piece of cake. We shall see!
