Halfway Point

So, a lot of us are about at the half way point of the semester. :)

How is everyone doing? What's hard/easy and what are you focusing on for the last half of the semester to get those grades as high as possible?

For us first semester students, is it easier or harder than you were expecting? How is it compared to your other degree(s) if you have them?

SO HARD!!!!!! We are halfway through too. Just finished up five weeks of clinical in medsurg. Still feel like a total moron, but we have come a long way from when we first walked into that classroom that first day!

It's not the horror I was expecting it to be based on a lot of posts here as well as things said by the nursing school staff. I get at least 8 hours of sleep a night, have read 3 books for fun, and might end up with a higher GPA this semester than any semester in undergrad. I just hope I can keep my grades up this last half!

I have an A in Pharmacology. I have a high C in nursing after two tests (passing is 75, I received a 78 and a 81). I am not struggling in Nursing, but I want to bring my grade up higher.

I'm in my last semester and I'm taking med surg 2 and professional topics in nursing. I work full time and my program is full time so I'm always studying for something. I have an A in my prof topics class, and a B in med surg 2.

Two weeks til clinicals and lecture are over. Then I only have to worry about ATI exams and the NCLEX. YIKES!

Our intermediates are only 7 weeks long. I've already finished Adult Health 1 (hallelujah!) and just started Maternity/NeoNatal (hooray!).

Midterm grades came out today and I have a 4.0! I still have a long way to go, though! :D

I have a B- (80%) in my applied assessment for MedSurg because my teacher doesn't know how to teach. Aside from that, have a 96% in my Advanced Pathophys/Pharmacology and a 90% in medical nutrition. We are in week 10 of 15 or 16 weeks. Almost done!
