GWU ABSN Fall 2012

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone else out there applied to George Washington University's BSN program to start this fall?

I know the deadline was last week and I got an email saying applications were being "reviewed" so hopefully we will hear something soon!

Yes, I applied a few weeks ago and am also very anxious to hear back. I have not received any updates either. Best of luck to you both. GWU is my first choice!

I'm applying too! As of February 27th, my application is "under review" so nervous... Who would have thought applying to nursing school is so hard!

I emailed one of the admissions people and she replied saying that once your application is "under review" it should take 4-6 weeks for the committee to make a decision, however she said you usually get a response in less than 4 weeks if all of your materials were in on time. Hopefully this means some good news for all of us soon! Has anyone visited the school or been to an open house?

Hi Dancergirl, did they say if we would hear by email or letter? Also, does anyone have any idea on stats of people that have been accepted in the past? Thanks!

I was told that you should receive an email directing you to check your NursingCAS /GWU application. I was told they had over 300 applicants for 55 slots.

The next 4-6 weeks can't pass soon enough!

Wow! I didn't realize so many people had applied! And yes I too was told we are notified via email.

I hope so! I would assume people will start hearing by the beginning of April, if not sooner...

I'm also anxiously waiting to hear from GWU! My application was final Jan 16th and sent for review March 3rd. After reading through 2011's posts it seems like they are taking a lot longer this year... maybe there are more applicants?

Just got my decision...I got in! So relieved! I was emailed back on Feb 15th that my application was sent for review so hopefully that gives you guys a timeline of when to expect a decision!
