Gwinnett Tech RN Program

Hi! I just graduated from Gwinnett Tech's medical assisting program, and I am now working part-time as a CMA while I work on my prerequisites for the RN program.

I was curious about any information anyone may have on Gwinnett Tech's RN program. I am going to attend an informational meeting this Friday, but I still was interested in hearing from students who are currently in the program, or who just may know a bit more than I do!

I know that I won't be able to apply to the program until next January (2011-geez!), but I want to be as prepared for it as possible! I'm also hoping that my experience in the medical field will give me a boost as well.

-How do they go about selecting students for the program?

-About how many hours per week of classroom/clinicals?

Some info/tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! :o

I'm currently working on my pre-reqs for Nursing at Gwinnett Tech and will be applying next year for the 2011 Fall. If you go to the school site, it has a information worksheer with all the info. The admission requirements is based on GPA,test score and panel interview. They only admit 40 students per year.

Good Luck!
