Chattahoochee Tech ADN Program Info for Newly Accepted Students
ericabeth, was your 3.89 GPA your overall GPA or just for the required courses considered for entrance to the program? That's a great GPA! I also got an 88 on the TEAS.

Chattahoochee Tech ADN Program Info for Newly Accepted Students
Hello! I just got my acceptance letter for Chatt Tech's ADN program beginning this August. I have been to one informational meeting at the Austell Campus (over a year ago) but had a few questions for anyone who may know the answers. First of all, how is the program laid out? I understand it is a total of 5 semesters for full-time students, which puts graduation at December 2013, I believe? Also, I have completed all of my coursework except for the actual Nursing Program courses (the RNSG courses), so I understand I won't be full-time. Does anyone know what classes are taken during which semesters? Does anyone know when clinicals start and how many days/hours per week they will be? I understand a lot of these questions will be answered at the orientation in June; I'm just excited/impatient.

got an email today as well. it states, "this email is to notify you that a letter from chattahoochee technical college’s health sciences office has been mailed to you via us mail to the mailing address you listed on your completed associate of science in nursing program application. this letter is time sensitive and concerns your program application." does it say the same for you all? i'm just so anxious.

I also applied to GA Highlands. Hoping for an acceptance letter from either one! If I am not accepted to Chatt Tech, then I'm going to go ahead and take the History or Diet & Nutrition class at GA Highlands this summer. My total points for the Nursing Application Form at GA Highlands was only 905, though... If I don't get into GA Highlands or Chatt Tech this time around, I guess I just need to take and re-take more classes and try again! :barf01:

Chattahoochee Tech ADN Fall 2012
I also got the email last week stating that the letters are to be mailed out this week. My fingers are crossed! A friend of mine already got her rejection letter several weeks ago, so I'm hoping that means my chances are good. My TEAS score was 88, but my GPA (as I calculated it) is only 2.98. How frustrating is that?!? I have a feeling that "rules are rules" and that is the only thing that will prevent me from getting in. I've been told my TEAS score is great. I guess we shall just see! It is especially frustrating because the only reason my GPA is a 2.98 is because I re-took English 1101 for an 'A' RIGHT after they switched to semesters, so I only got 3 credit points for the class instead of 5. 5 credit points would have had me right at 3.0. *sigh*... I sure hope they round it!

Gwinnett Tech RN Program
Hi! I just graduated from Gwinnett Tech's medical assisting program, and I am now working part-time as a CMA while I work on my prerequisites for the RN program. I was curious about any information anyone may have on Gwinnett Tech's RN program. I am going to attend an informational meeting this Friday, but I still was interested in hearing from students who are currently in the program, or who just may know a bit more than I do! I know that I won't be able to apply to the program until next January (2011-geez!), but I want to be as prepared for it as possible! I'm also hoping that my experience in the medical field will give me a boost as well. -How do they go about selecting students for the program? -About how many hours per week of classroom/clinicals? Some info/tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
