Hello!
I am new to allnurses.com and wanted to introduce myself. My nam is Jon and I am an Air Force Medic training to be an Aeromedical Evacuation Technician. I am trying to find the nursing school route that's best for me. I was planning to attend Shepherd University this fall but it will not work out due to some training I have to attend. I am now looking for other options so I do not have to waste time sitting around. I am considering Excelsior College. If anyone has an negative feedback on the school I would love to hear it. I am from central Pennsylvania and am excited to have such an invaluable resource for nursing information.

Welcome Jon! I am waiting on my CPNE date and studying a little everyday. I liked the flexibility of Excelsior RN program. It's definetly not for everyone but it's a good alternative if you need to work and go to school. It takes a lot of self discipline and it's not an easy alternative.
