Welcome.

I would go to the Illionois forum on this website and ask your question there if you haven't already. This portion is for introductions. Good luck.

Welcome to allnurses.com! I moved your post to the PA State Forum; perhaps you will get some helpful information there.

Good luck!

Welcome!

Nice to meet you!

If I had to do it over, I would have gone for my RN right off the bat....however,I do not at all regret being a LPN for 17+yrs! Good luck in the future and take care!

I never knew this site existed either, glad to have found it though!

Hi PRN,

Just wanted to let you know that I understand having nursing in your blood.

I'll be 50 in June and just finished my first year. I'm working on my RN, tried school in 1975, quit, and it's been eating away at me ever since. I live in the Pittsburgh area and everyone told me to go for my RN. I was also undecided as to whether to go for LPN or RN.

Whatever you decide, Best Wishes for a fulfilling and interesting education.:flowersfo

Hey Lori, Just wanted to let you know, that I have been excepted into HAAC RN program for spring semester. I scored so low on the placement test I was surprised when I got the acceptance letter. How's your classes going.

Things are going rough. I'm passing but barely....too much info crammed into these exams. I almost regret not going to a four year college. I've been told it's easier because it's spread out more.

Lori I am so upset and dissappointed. I am currently in my fall semester at a Tech school for CMA/Med. Sec. and billing and coding. All my financial aid is coming thru this school. My RN program starts in Jan. 11, The fall classes at the school I am in now does not end until Feb. 24. The will not transfer my financial aid until their fall semester ends. If I drop out now, will have to pay them back for the tuition, fees, books and etc (claim if I drop they have to send the financial aid money back, and that i signed a disclaimer stating in this case I will pay back out of my pocket.) I was also told If I drop I cannot enroll in any school until their money is paid back. So beiing that classes for the RN program entrance is only in Spring and Fall, I will not be able to start classes until Fall of 2007 I am so discouraged and upset. I can't even focus on my classes at YBI because I do not want to be there! Pray for me I need something to pull me through this. I know u understand how you have your hopes and dreams on something and how it devastates u when the floor is pulled out from under your feet
