GRE Study TIP?

I've taken the GRE once after many months of studying and did poorly. Even though I graduated college from the US, english is my second language and the verbal part of the GRE was very difficult for me. I need to retake the GRE is get a better score, can anyone recommend a good GRE course, book, or give me some tips on studying, thank you!

That's going to be pretty rough, but still doable. As truly weird as the English language is, I admire people that can pick it up as a second language.

That being said, I found REA's prep book & CDROM for the GRE very useful for the verbal section. They've got several "games" on the CDROM on word matching & the like. Those would probably help you.

Kaplan's GRE prep book & CDROM was excellent at the math section, and also useful for the verbal section.

You can probably check out a number of GRE prep books from your local library - that's where I saw the Kaplan book & CD.

Google "free online GRE test" for free sample tests/study material online. That helped me with some math things I had to strengthen. Having graduated in 1983 with my first degree, it had been a while since I'd done much algebra/geometry.

I was referred to this site a couple months ago to help me study for my NET and found that there is a section on the GRE as well.
