GRE freak out!

I just found out I need to take the GRE before Dec 1! Any tips on studying in this short amount of time? I am borrowing a semi recent book from a friend that she got last spring and I'm hoping this will get me up to speed. Eek!

Are you going for your masters? My daughter took the GRE two years ago before grad school and she studied for months....not weeks. She said the math was what got her...she'd had it all and it was all elementary stuff like fractions, lower algebra, etc....

no it's an absn degree i'm going for... the math is scary to me too, however i surprised myself recently and made an A in the statistics course i completed for my prereq requirement... i guess i'll just study as much as humanly possible before i take it...

I'm not sure why you would take the GRE though? That is the test to admit to a masters program.

yep, i know. duke requires it for their absn program.

Wow! Good luck on that! You can do it!

Let me tell you the thing that absolutely helped me with the GRE. Go out and buy GRE for Dummies. I took a pre-test just to see how I would do, then took another one after studying with the the book, and it REALLY increased my scores. It was the best investment for that test...Seriously.

Oh, one more thing, I only studied for about a month before taking the exam. My score got me accepted into ASU, so it worked out!
