Hi, I was nominated by my class to do a speech at graduation May 5th. I'm so excited and honored, but so lost! Any help and/or advice about what talk about, or even just the order I should talk about thing in, would be greatly appreciated!!!! I wanted to have a topic but also add in funny little things about our class here and there too.

Lol, Great Luck, and don't forget to quote some smart people- that always seems to work! Poke fun too for an ice breaker. Find comfort zones (people you make eye contact with that make you feel comfortable), and try not look at the strict instructor who always made you want to crawl under a rock! . . . .
Unless she/he is smiling, then you can use them too, Lol!
Great Luck, and Congrats!!!!!!!!!!
(Like you needed ONE more thing to stress about!! But at least it's an Honor!)

Only you would know what funny little quirks to add about your particular class, but be sure not to offend or embarrass anyone. Think about why you (and your classmates) went to nursing school, the trials and tribulations you all went through during school and clinicals, the emotional rollercoaster that it's been, some idea of the different area's/specialties that the new grads will be going into and you're hope for the future...of course you are going to have to take a lot of info and describe it in as few magical words as possible and practice, practice, practice, out loud, and in front of friends and family til you have it down pat. Good luck and congrats, it's an awesome honor!

my kid's class was small, about 20. they drew names of classmates out of a hat and had to say a few words about the person they drew. it was the best part of graduation.
since you're doing the speaking, ask everyone to do that (assuming you're not in a class of 100), write them up for you, and read them out.
