At what point is a person a GPN? At graduation or when they finally get their temp license?

To practice as a GPN, you will need your temporary permit. Because the length of time between graduating and testing has drastically decreased, some states have moved away from offering GN or GPN permits. Even more important is that many employers have also moved away from hiring anyone without a license- offers are contingent on passing.

Not every state offersGPN. It's generally a temp permit that cannot vs obtained until after graduation and applying to the BoN. It expires once you take the nclex (pass or fail)
