GPA averaging?

Hi Everyone... Quick questions I'm hoping someone would know. For most schools, are all the different GPAs averaged?

- I have a 3.5 for undergrad

-3.5 transfer courses to undergrad

- 3.9 for masters

-3.7 for perquisites taken last year

I'm nervous because my freshmen year I failed BIO I and statistics (8 years ago). I have since retaken it and gotten an A- but I'm nervous it will still be looked down on. Any insight would be appreciated!

It really depends on the school; I would direct this question towards them. Many programs like mine only consider the prereq GPA

Every university that I have attended required transcripts from all schools attended, and all grades were used to calculate GPA.

Both schools I plan to apply to want transcripts for ALL colleges I've attended. My understanding is that they will take all the information into account but the more recent pre-req classes will be weighted higher in their analysis. Every school has their own system and you'd have to ask them.

Depends on the program. One I applied to only cared about the last 60 credits of undergrad work (even if pre-reqs or a grad degree had since been completed). Another only cared about pre-req GPA, and some cared about both. Contact the programs you are interested in directly to find out how they calculate GPA for prospective applicants.
